Whiski Shop exclusive: Old Particular North British 18 Year Old, Grain Whisky


We are very excited to present are exclusive cask bottling with Douglas Laing. The 18-year-old, single cask North British grain whisky. The North British distillery was built in Edinburgh in 1885. It was built at the time to break a monopoly on grain whisky production in Scotland. Today it is jointly owned by Edrington and Diageo. It produces grain whisky for Cutty Sark, Famous Grouse and Chivas Regal among others. Old Particular series is a 'particularly' sought after range of whisky from all over Scotland. Being that the shop is based in the heart of Edinburgh, we kept it local to the city by choosing a spirit from Edinburgh's last working distillery.

Our bottling is a single refill hogshead cask, 276 bottles were charged from this cask. Presented at 48.4% ABV without any added colour or chill filtration
