Glenallachie, located at the foot of Ben RinnesĀ was originally opened in 1967 and used mainly within the Chivas Brothers blends. In 2018 the distillery was taken over and started to produce a core range of single malts headed by Billy Walker.Ā
Batch 3 of the virgin oak series. It underwent additional maturation in casks made of Scottish Sessile Oak. Scottish oak is very hard to work with at all stages of production. It is scarely used in whisky maturation.Ā
