Daftmill 2012 Summer Release
The Daftmill 2012 Summer Batch Release is a limited edition Lowland single malt Scotch whisky bottled in June 2025. Distilled in 2012 from Concerto barley grown on the distillery's own farm, it was matured for nearly 13 years in 23 first-fill bourbon barrels before being bottled in June 2025. The release is limited to 5,250 bottles and is noted for its pure, unadulterated character, not having undergone chill filtration and having no additional colouring.Ā
Daftmill is a true farm distillery. Based in Fife, it produces approximately only 100 casks of single malt whisky a year, using only barley grown on the estate and water from its own spring. Although founded in 2005, Daftmill didnāt release its first whisky until 2018, making it one of the most quietly anticipated names in Scotch.
