Williamson is an indy trade name for Laphroaig whisky. The reason for the Williamson name is due to Bessie Williamson, who was the only woman that owned and ran a whisky disitllery, and that distillery was Laphroaig. So like any classic Laphroaig, this is a heavy peated whisky with a strong ash and iodine taste.
