This Bunnahabhian release has aged for 8 years in oak casks. It has spent the final 9 months in an octave cask. This is a limited release of only 89 bottles. Octave casks are made by re-coopering a single sherry butt into eight separate small casks. There is more interaction between the wood and the spirit over a shorter period of time in a small cask than in large cask allowing a faster melding of wood, air and alcohol.
